# BRCS Series

## BRCS Series — AC/DC Residual Current Sensors for EV Charging

Built-in AC/DC residual current sensors designed for Mode-2 and Mode-3 EV charging equipment (AC EV Chargers). Detects both smooth DC and AC residual currents, with digital output signals for direct integration into EVSE control circuits.

### Product Variants

BRCS products are defined across **three dimensions**:

#### **1. Form Factor**&#x20;

Following the release of IEC 62955 in 2018, we obtained the world's first TÜV-certified RDC-MD and RDC-PD certificates in 2019. Through the large-scale application of millions of units over the past few years, we have continuously optimized our product line. Our current mainstream product lines are as follows:

> 💡 **BRCS01C** is the only platform offering a **12V supply variant** (`-12-H1`), which is ideal for users who prefer not to process fault signals through an MCU and require indicator lights for easy on-site troubleshooting.&#x20;

#### **2. Compliance Standard**

Every form factor is available in both IEC and UL versions. In other words, IEC and UL versions share the same hardware form factor but have **different pin assignments and output logic**. Always select the correct compliance version for your target market.

#### **3. Supply Chain Compatibility:**&#x20;

Thoughtfully designed pinouts and form factors ensure seamless drop-in replacement and supply chain security for EV charger manufacturers.

* The **BRCS01C-12V** version is fully pin-compatible with the Littelfuse RCM14/20 series (formerly Western Automation).
* The **BRCS03C** and **BRCS03X** series are highly compatible with the BENVAC N4641 series. Although our sensors utilize a 6-pin interface compared to BENVAC's 8-pin design, users can achieve seamless compatibility on the same charging controller hardware through automatic firmware adaptation.

Consider DIN-rail mounted circuit breakers: while their internal technologies vary, their standardized external form factor provides immense convenience to users and drives healthy market development. We apply this same standardization philosophy to our sensor designs to simplify integration for our customers.
